On the 15th of August we commemorated one of the more important name days of the Christian Orthodox calendar, the Dormition of Virgin Mary, otherwise know in Greek, tis Panagias (της Παναγίας). As is our tradition at our Greek School, students who celebrated their name days in July and August helped light our vigil lamp. Principal Con Roubos then explained to the children the significance of Tis Panagias.
