Commitment to Child Safety

Pythagoras Greek School is committed to ensuring a child safe environment exists throughout our school. The safety, wellbeing and rights of all children attending Pythagoras Greek School and participating in events and activities undertaken by the school are paramount. Pythagoras Greek School’s commitment to creating a safe environment for all students who attend the College is endorsed at the highest level.

 

Pythagoras Greek School enforces its commitment to zero tolerance of child abuse. 

 

In accordance with our commitment to child protection, Pythagoras Greek School has adopted a procedure for the screening, recruitment and induction of individuals employed by the school and who are engaged in child-related work to undergo checks in accordance with relevant child-protection legislation. Similarly, Pythagoras Greek School aims to train its entire staff to recognise signs of child abuse and to respond to allegations and complaints of child abuse appropriately and in accordance with legislative requirements. 

 

Pythagoras Greek School undertakes to assist children who disclose child abuse or are otherwise linked by ensuring follow-up support and referral to specialist organisations.  

 

In line with its commitment to creating and ensuring a child-safe environment. Pythagoras Greek School has also developed this Child Safe Policy and Code of Conduct. This Policy and Code of Conduct provide clear guidelines prohibiting any form of abuse against children and young people.
